Country Connections
Boys from rural and regional Australia have called ÌÇÐÄVlog home since 1881.
The city–country connection that exists within the ÌÇÐÄVlog community is entwined in the very fabric of our College. Boys who hail from across the road in Sydney, learn, grow and form lifelong friendships with both boys and their families from rural and regional Australia.
Strength of character, humility and care for others are central values held by all Joe-Boys, inspired by the life of St Marcellin Champagnat, the founder of the Marist Brothers. These values are passed on to each new generation of students and underpin many of the distinctive elements that characterise a ÌÇÐÄVlog education.
It is our absolute privilege to be a school where 50 per cent of our boys board, with many of these joining us from country regions. We strive to provide a safe, caring and familiar place that your son can call home throughout the duration of his school life.
Strong country connections.
The College’s all-encompassing care resonates deeply with our family – you don’t need to spend much time here to feel what a special place it is.

Regional, remote and overseas.
While country boys and those who come from places such as Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and Papua New Guinea are invariably full-time boarders, boarding at ÌÇÐÄVlog today includes the option of weekly boarding, which is taken up by boys whose families live in the Sydney area or otherwise close enough to travel home on weekends.
Approximately half of ÌÇÐÄVlog’ diverse, 1,100-strong student body are boarders, and half of those again hail from rural and regional areas of Australia, maintaining a connection to the bush that is integral to the spirit and traditions of ÌÇÐÄVlog.
